  • 16 Jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 Sweet & ripe plantains, peeled and sliced into 1/2 inch rounds
  • 4 Slices Manchego cheese
  • 4 Brioche burger buns

  • 2 Cloves garlic, peeled

Fresh Flavors with a BIG BUBBA

Burger season is in full swing and we keep dreaming up new flavors and ideas to keep things fresh with a few special ingredients: chimichurri, habanero, shrimp, and sweet plantains. We decided to combine all of these flavors into an awesome burger! This burger is packed with bright fresh flavors, and a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, just what you want for a mid summer burger! This recipe is brought to you by our Ambassador Dan Whalen.

Step 1

Flavor Explosion.

Add the parsley, garlic, salt, habanero, lemon, and olive oil to a food processor. Blend it up until it’s smooth.

Grill 'em.

Place the plantains and jumbo shrimp on the grill and brush with oil, garlic, and chili mixture before putting them on the grill.

Throw on the BUBBA's.

Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, and grill the plantains for about 5 minutes per side. BUBBA burgers hit the grill next and cook on one side for about 5 minutes or until juices start to form at the top.

Cheesy Goodness.

Flip your BUBBA burger after 5 minutes, then add the Manchego cheese.

Chimichurri Time.

Toast the brioche burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes. Then, add the chimichurri to the bottom burger bun and add your BUBBA burger.

Top it Off!

Finally, add the plantains, jumbo shrimp, and more chimichurri. Top off with the top burger bun, serve it up and enjoy!
